"providing affordable acupuncture to all"

About the clinic

What’s different about our clinic?

You receive treatment in a community setting
Most acupuncture treatments in the UK take place in individual rooms.  This is not traditional in Asia, where acupuncture usually occurs in a community setting.  In our clinic we have several beds placed alongside each other, in a quiet, soothing space.  Treating patients in a community setting has many benefits: it’s easy for friends and family members to come in for treatment together, many patients find it comforting; and a collective energetic field becomes established which actually makes individual treatments more powerful.

You pay what you can afford
Often an acupuncturist will see one patient an hour and charge (on average) £35 – £85 per session.  For 75% of the population this is costly, and limits them from receiving regular treatments.  At our clinic, we want to make acupuncture affordable and still make a living ourselves, so we streamline our treatments to enable us to see several patients in an hour.

We operate a sliding scale of £20 to £45 per session, where you pay what you can afford.

We want to make it possible for you to receive acupuncture as often as you need, to ensure that your health and wellbeing are not only improved, but maintained.

Together we develop community spirit!
A soothing atmosphere exists in our clinic because all of our patients create it by relaxing together.  We appreciate everyone’s individual presence.  This collective stillness is a rare and precious occurrence in our rushed and busy society.

Who will you be treated by?

You will be treated by Libby who trained at The College of Integrated Medicine in Reading. She gained a BSc in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2011 and then went on the gain a Diploma in Tui Na Chinese Massage- a hands -on adjunct to acupuncture that uses massage techniques to activate the points.  She is insured and registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).  Libby previously worked in her own private practice and also in a North London GP surgery.

  1. That must be really nice..

  2. ICOM says:

This is a great solution for people who may not be able to afford regular acupuncture treatment otherwise. Yes, in China it is quite common to have ‘community clinics’ with multiple patients in the room at the same time. This can work very well for both patients and practitioners. Your clinic also looks really cozy from the picture!
